Ill club secretary
The rather unpopular secretary of a Third Division club was recently rushed to hospital with a suspected duodenal ulcer.
The next day he received a get-well card from the club committee with the postscript:
'The decision to send you this card was carried by six votes to four, with two abstentions.'
